Secure in the One Who is Secure
The storms of life sometimes will leave us in places where it is hard to stand in faith. Have you ever been there? It is a place where your spirit is saying one thing and your flesh another. A time when the enemy can attack you and tell you that you don’t have any faith. Don’t listen! Jesus has paid the price for our victory over every circumstance that we may face.
The word says in 2 Corinthians. 12:9 that “His grace is sufficient for you, and that HIS strength is made perfect in weakness.” Only when we go through the storms and trails of this life can we really realize God’s unfailing and unchanging love for us, even when we don’t always understand the outcome of a situation and might not in this world. God is able to take you through any circumstances or struggle so that you may be anxious for nothing. He will walk with you in the fire, through the fire or deliver you out of the fire. We can be secure because you always win in Christ Jesus!
There will always be problems in life but God said in His word – 2 Corinthians 4:16 - 18
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
So if we ever feel like giving up…how could we? Our outward man may look like things are falling apart, but inside us God is making new life!!! Our bad times don’t amount to much, compared to all of God’s promises. We can be secure in those promises and all that He has for us and that he WILL keep those promises! There is so much more than we can see with our eyes. The spiritual realm is more real than what we see. Amen!
If you are feeling weary, lift your eyes to Jesus, the source for our security is in Him.
God promises in His word that He will:
We are told in Isaiah 26 that God will keep us in perfect peace if we put our whole trust in the one who can do all things. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair as the His word says in 2 Corinthians 4:8.
In conclusion God promises to be:
In all this we can have security in Him, Christ Jesus our Lord.
You and I are what God’s word and promises say that we are! So if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can rest assured that you won’t break His promises by leaning on them. If you haven’t asked Him into your life, I encourage you to do it today! What are you waiting for?
